Can someone give me a link to where to report a bad fish store that keeps fish in the poorest conditions to where it gives you a sick feeling just walking by the tanks and seeing the fish the way they are..

I live in Washington State, Snohomish County.

Is there even such a thing? Besides do you really think they would get in that much trouble? Probably just a "don't do it again" letter and you know what they would do it again.

I know it is sad. I have been in some pretty bad stores......

No, it's a ********.

You should report it to the head corporate office of the store. I have seen a couple of members on here (don't remember who) who wrote/called ******* headquarters about the horrible state of the fish section in a particular store. When they went in a few weeks later, the fish section was completely gone. That is your best bet at getting something accomplished, there are no laws for the SPCA/Humane Society to enforce when it comes to fish, though they can always give a 'warning' to the manager. Going to corporate HQ is much more likely to initiate an actual change.

Well, talk to the owner first politely and ask him how you can help correct the problems. It never hurts to try first before going to higher authorities whether it be a chain store or not.

That's where I was going to try and go, I figured since they are so big I would not be able to get threw to the right person and just get pushed to the side while asking for the right people to talk to.. I will try though.
Thanks

have you tried speaking to your local council/gov depts, doe pet/fish stores need pet licenses and do they not need to be of a certain standard.
if so this may be the way to go as it is how it would be done in the UK, pet licenses need to be updated each year and you get inspected.

There's no correcting this problem, their fish dept is worthless.. It would be like a 24 hours grocery store having a live fish dept when you have 4 other PET Store's all within 5 Min's away.. So basically the fish just sit there until they eat each other...
