Hello I have a variety in my tank 2 Angel fish.2 tetras 1 catfish 2 ghost shrimp.3 mollies

I have been feeding themtetramin tropical crisps and bloodworms freeze dried..I went to the lfs today and figured I would try something different .and they said all fish eat flake food so I boughtWardeley goldfish flake food I put it in and then either put it in their mouths and spit it out or let it go right by.

Was the lfs full of it and they are not going to eat it or should I give them time to adjust to it????

Some fish need a little time to warm up to a new food. Let the fish fast for a day or two and add a little flake at a time. Although the goldfish food will not hurt your fish at all, you may want to purchase a regular tropical flake for the next round. The tropical fish flake will have more protein.

I'm not familiar with wardley but I would think that the goldfish flakes would contain less crude protein, not that it would make a difference though. Fish might not adjust to new foods right away. I would give it time...if you really want them to eat the flakes you can stop feeding for a few days then try the new flakes. Their hunger might compel them to accept the goldfish flakes.

I have no problem going out and buying tropical flakes I already bought this and was just not sure if they would eat it as I said some spit it out and some swam right past it I will not feed tomorow .Although I will feel bad they run to the top of the tank when the light goes on..

I wouldnt buy Wardley brand food. Its the brand that Petsmart feeds their fish, its pretty much the worst of all of their store brands, basically cardboard. Bad enough my location doesnt even sell it anymore . . . If you really wanna try goldfish flakes go with Omega one.

Why would you buy goldfish food for tropical fish?

Has anyone compared the wardley brand to another brand such as tetra?
