I'm really interested in starting with a group of Geophagus, but I was wondering if they are suitable for planted tanks. I know they like to sift the subrstrate, so I'm sure the more delicate, rooted plants are out of the question, but what about anchored plants like java moss and anubias? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Because they are tigers, the will uproot plants. But, any plants tied on to rock , wood or decorations will survive. They are not renowned plant eaters.
