Scary! I hate knowing that I have a bristle worm in my reef tank now! Argh....

I wonder if that could have some sort of medical use?

for example.. I have pretty much permanent pain in my back that I will live with for life-- what if a method was developed using this worms venom-- they could inject it at key points deadening nervs and causing PERMANENT pain relief

Sounds good at first but would you really want to NOT feel pain? You could damage yourself further without realizing it. Pain let's you know you're alive.

Yes... but chronic pain can make you wish you weren't. The potential benefits might outweigh the risks for some people. It certainly seems worth exploring.
