AquaScaping

Thank you. I have done the minimal contact with sand and left lots of areas for water to flow through. But I find it difficult to find a pleasing display, and allow for places for corals to be added.

I think I might have to remove a few pieces of live rock if I add corals attached to rocks of any significant size.

thank you thank you thank you for the advice. It's nice to know that I am going in the right direction.

Well, I picked up my rock today and when I add it to the rock I already had, I think I better look for about a 235 gal. tank :D :D :D Some of the chunks are pretty big and I may take a hammer to them. I do have some very nice coral heads and some flat rocks.

While looking through the rock when I got home, I found a hitch hiker, a small mushroom of some sort. I'll try to get a photo of it later on and post it. Who knows what all I'll find.

Flat pieces are in high demand now.. everyone is getting into the "stack rock with acrylic rods and put shelves on them" fad lately around here. Looks pretty cool but a lot of work.

That is cool Ace, thanks. I guess I get to cut lots of egg create and use a lot of nylon ties and then foam it all together. I don't have room for as much work as he has done but I should be able to do something.

I wish I could get on RC so I could use more of it.

Photo of one hitchhiker I found on my live rock. Who knows what else I'll find when I really start looking. Can someone ID this? Thanks.

I think so too. Kind of cool to find stuff like this and not something that needs to be gotten rid of. It's on a rock that I need to break as it's too big. Hope I can split the rock and not damage the mushroom.

Here are some photos I just took of most everything I've collected to date. It's going to be fun figuring out where to place everything in the DT. I forgot to change the camera settings so wash out happened.
