These are Setswana names. I have always liked the idea of giving them African names (since fronts can live a long time). I have to be very careful with these names as the very first one I ever named lived up to his names sake... Ntchwaidumela (He who greets with fire :devil. That little booger ended up killing six siblings (although that was my fault as I had them cramed into a tank that was too small and had agression issues related to tank footprint). I first heard that name "Ntchwaidumela" in a National Geographic documentary, Lions & Hyenas: Eternal Enemies. There are a couple other cool names in that video which I didn't use.

What got me thinking about naming this group was a good friend (who I purchased this colony from). In honor of our friendship, I named my alpha "Tsala" which is Setswana for friend.
