Mafia #53.5 Rock the Vote

OMG what a bad night!! Losing the doctor is a huge blow! and then Z... sheesh!

I vote to lynch Luv.... Luv, you are completely suspicious with the whole Kash exchange and then to post that jibberish about having to walk away from the computer because you were taking things "personal"? Come on, that is the oldest mafia trick in the book to try and gain sympathy. And it looks like you even have Zaffy trying to justify your feelings. I for one am not buying it. You have been in enough games and were much harder hit in previous games than this. Ah but you aren't as seasoned as some people I guess and thought this might be a good tactic... maybe you should take time off to read up on previous games to really get some feathers in the old hat.

So my next suspects are Paps for seeming to be protective and then Zaff for trying to justify Bugz' feelings.... we get the post Zaff.... no worries.

Jpap: I've said what I have said about this several times already. You're continual defense of yourself is getting desperate sounding. I'm patiently waiting for new evidence to turn up... nothing so far has led me to change my current position.

Now for something that no one has asked. Kash was the doc, now why did the mafia hit Zsand?

In the past (all I have to go on), the mafia never hit someone who was 'onto' them in the first few days. They didn't want to be picked up because they killed the one person voting for them. Zsand is a good player, but I would think that Ice would be a more likely target if innocent. He's probably the best (along with Mad and JL).

So why hit Z?

Good question! Z did not seem to be making any waves thus far, unless I skimmed over it. Seems like an odd hit considering some of the alternatives....definately something that needs to be looked at.
 
Hmmm (Thinking out loud, comments welcome)... Z was first on Luv yesterday. So why would the mafia hit Z? Maybe I was kind of 'leading the charge' on Luv (so to speak) and they thought they could get one of the possible voters out of the way... especially the earlies 'random' vote.

Alternately, if Luv isn't the mafia (and the only reason I have to suspect this is the mafia hitting Z), then I would put my money on Ice being mafia. I would think that only one mafia would vote for each person that's potentially going down... it rarely works that way, but that's always their plan. So, since Ice wasn't hit, he would be my next choice for being mafia.

There were plenty of singleton votes out there for the mafia to hide under, that doesn't really help us... yet.

I think we should really pay attention to singleton voters after tonight. Especially if Luv is mafia.

Basically, my current hypotheses all hinge on the status of Luv.
 
I'm no expert at this game- in fact I'm a complete beginner- so I don't know the tactic the mafia would perform... I'd think, were I mafia, the tactic that I would employe would be that you take out someone who no-one suspects because... they're not going to get lynched anyway...

You wouldn't hit Rocker, LuvBugs, Zaffy, Jpap, etc... (were they innocent) because they've all attracted suspicion and have a good chance to be lynched anyway. ZSand was attracting no suspicion.


Also if you hit someone is finger pointing at you- does that not make you seem more suspicious. If ZSand was finger pointing at say theoretically LuvBugs and LuvBugs were the Don... she'd almost be certainly confirming herself as guilty.

... just a theory.




Also, since there is no hugely strong leads yet- just a bunch of suspicions- there IS no obvious target and there is no consensus over who is guilty- and no "leaders" of the innocents yet.

For the bazillionth and one time, I never defended Luv.

I said it was highly unlikely that Luv AND JM would try to plan out the situation on day 1. My conclusion, if you even read the entire thing Ogre, was that it could happen and we should keep our guards up if it happens later in the game. It had nothing to do with Jm and Luv specifically because I ended up saying it was not likely they tried it...Jm just happened to forget with it being the first day, and Luv posted after him. Look st the people who agreed with my final thoughts on Luv/Jm or at least had doubts that it was some sort of mafia conspiracy:

So are you saying that these people too are defending Luv because they also doubt the her an Jm did some pregame planning? You pinpointed me because I brought it up first as somehow defending Luv yet I in no way did such thing. I gave Luv and Jm a pass because of the low probability of something happening, NOT because Luv was my teammate and I thought they needed help getting out of the situation.

Also, if you read that very same post I called Luv's behavior "kinda scummy" for bringing up past games and trying to play victim in this one based on some "feeling" she had. This led to me putting Luv on my suspect list last night, although I do not think I made it clear exactly why. Most people suspicious of Luv are generally thinking so because of how she reacted to getting the double votes and the so called "set up". Not much difference for me either. Ogre, you've been saying that I tried to cover up for her "frack up" (which is apparently a naughty word, shame on you) yet how would calling her out twice (once out front and another time backing up Fire) calm anyones nerves about my supposed teammate? In fact, I went back to the very first post in which you hypothesized about me and Luv being in cahoots, and you even cut off the bottom portion of my post when you quoted. Interesting...

Lastly Ogre I would like you to respond to my rather sarcastic but still purposeful comments earlier. Show me were I was "basically saying that there is no reason to suspect Luv here"...once again, I said Luv should not be suspected of conspiring with Jm. Not once did I say she should not be looked at at all.
As you can see, I'm also comfortable with lynching Ogre. He is so adamant about us being on a team when there is no proof other than his feelings and offbase opinions.

you sure are trying really hard to distance yourself from Luvbugz, who seems to be taking a nosedive into the ground.

i think ogre's one to something here. jpap is sounding very desperate to distance himself from Luv as much as he can, especially after he saw that she wasnt going down the best road after she was almost lynched last night. i am seeing his actions begin to parallel hers. its a stretch, and i am not say that because they are acting similar that they must both be mafia, but it is something to be considered.
 
Do we know how many Mafioso there are? Or does only the narrator know that?

At this early stage if I had to draw up a list of Mafia- I'd say 4 or 5 out of:
Zaffy, JPap, LuvBugs, possibly Plant, possibly Rich, possibly noodles.

It may be entirely coincidental but they seem to be on a similar wavelength... I do think odds are good that Zaffy, JPap and LuvBugs are all Mafia though.
 
im voting for Zaffy because i think she is mafia, she just seems scummy to me. and so does JPAP for defending her so much!

so for now my list is

luvbugz
 
I agree that Jpap seems desparate to distance himself from Bugz. he is definately moving up on my list.
I also a little concerned with how well Wycco, the self proclaimed novice, is playing. A natural or coached? hhhmmmm
