Mike Vick signs W/Eagles ಠ_ಠ

its been sometime since vick has played so his game is gonna suck anyways. even before he went to prison his game wasn't any good. yeah, he can run and he can throw the ball far, but his accuracy matched my five year old daughter's

come on everyone - lighten up, everyone deserves a 2nd chance especially these richly overpaid primadona don't care about the average joe smoe a-holes who do drugs, bag all these groupies, drink/smoke, commit physical abuse on their wives/girlfriends, do little to give back to the community, charge $9.95 for autographs, who gamble, who bulk up on steroid or maybe killed someone type of guys! just because they did something wrong & it gets publicize & criticized in the media court, even if they are guilty & get jail time - they deserve to make all those millions to only laugh at us the fans & at society. they deserve to live the good life while others suffer. they deserve the best that life can offer because they are super athletes! so big deal they did wrong. what's wrong with that? why not let them be role models so our kids especially from urban areas living under poor economical conditions can look up to them that they can achieve the same riches & make mistakes be forgiven & still make riches. that's the american way!

& btw - he can be the greatest football player of all time - we'd be missing this raw unique talent of a "man" if we don't let have a 2nd chance.

I'm a die hard Eagles fan and I'm even skeptical about the decision. On one hand, he is a descent quarterback, McNabb might be in the top ten, but is a very inconsistant QB. This might make him step up his game and actually throw the ball somewhere other than his receivers feet. On the other hand, Vick had a hand in killing animals and I don't condone that in any way, shape or form. If it weren't for the circumstances, I would celebrate the signing of Vick. But because of past events, I don't hold him in very high reguard.

Reed did say we probably won't see him on the field until November at the earliest. There is the manditory 4 game suspension, then it's been 2 years since he's touched a football so he'll need some practice time to get back in the swing of things.

Once again, I'm skeptical. I hope he has truely changed his ways and plays his part in leading my birds to the big game again and we actually win it this time. I guess we'll see.

I'm not a football fan but I think that this is disgraceful. I don't care if he's the best player in the world, he hurt and killed innocent animals ON PURPOSE for NO REASON (It's not like it was for food or something) and that is UNFORGIVABLE in my book. I'm ashamed to have that scumbag on my city's football team.

So...should we keep every ex-con out of having a job? Or is this only because he once was a high profile athlete in the spotlight?

The way I see it, Vick payed enough for what he did. He fell from a heavily endorsed, Pro-bowl athlete to a player ignored by more than half the leagues teams to now a QB who has to fight again for a position on his team. Not only that but he cannot play until well into the season.

Apparently some people do not believe in second chances.

I think what he did was evil, He drowned and electrocuted the dogs that lost. Thats psycho! How could you hold something down and watch it die, while it fights for its life? SICK! The man should have a job cleaning up after animals till one day one rips into him. You may think I am harsh, But I dont care. Honestly, I think second chances are a joke. It is why our country is weak, We need to bring back public hangings, child molesters, rapist, murders, should all be given the death sentence, and hung in public. That would make alot of people think twice. Look at the crime rate in Russia, and America, those guys got the right idea for handling real criminals.

I dont think he should not be allowed to have a job, but why should he be given a dream job and make millions? Whats wrong with manual labor? Why should he get out of jail and right back into the lap of luxury?

ok i believe he is the scum of the earth and should have been put into a dog fighting ring with some of the dogs he tortured and let them eat him alive.

and as for the living in luxury thing that isnt gonna happen he is millions in debt right now and will be for many years. Actually a chunk of his paychecks go directly to paying off his debts and if i remember correctly another chunk is going directly to the humane society.
