Signup Thread for Mafia 56 (An unknown evil).


Players start the game not knowing which form of evil they are playing against.

One player character (the mayor) will be sent a link to a rules page I will set up to keep me honest. The mayor can announce any rules he/she likes during the game but probably won't want to!

All other roles will be unknown to all other players (at game start).




Tentative plans are for the game to start Thursday morning and first nightfall Saturday at 9pm. (Eastern US).

Opening Scenario:

The year is 1960. In North Alaska, a small settlement known as the Aquaria-Central prospect has been cut off from the outside world. Blinding blizzards means no-one may enter or leave the town- the weather has also frozen up and destroyed all means of communications out of the town.

One by one the town members have died mysterious deaths until now, only a handfull remain. Things look bad for the town and a smell of evil permeates the town.

There is a small hope for the townsfolk though. Each morning an amateur newspaper is delivered mysteriously to all residents in the town. The origin of the paper, and who is publishing it, is unknown at this moment. The newspaper may contain hints to help the townsfolk.

One man in the town knows the possible roles of the town but does not know who has each of these roles. The last mayor of the town on his deathbed secretly sent a message to one of the townsfolk detailing exactly what evil faced the town. He promoted this town member as his heir to be the new mayor of the town until all evil is defeated.
