One thing to do is determine which store brand products are acceptable to you and get those whenever possible.

We buy the store brand apple jacks because we can't taste the difference, but the store brand pop tarts are horrid. Still, it saves us $5-$10 bucks each week.

lol i still laugh at crispy hexagons (no offense)
i would say 100$ a week more or less (kinda depends on if you eat out or there is an occasion you need to go to and spend money :p)

$100 at the max, if you can keep yourself from eating out more than once a week, if that. I say you could easily keep food cost down to $75 or less. I know me and the wife were able to live on $250 a month on groceries, before children, now $450+.

I avg about $75 a week for me and my fiancee as we have a set meal plan... so about 150 every 2 weeks :)

As a college student me and my roommate split our groceries 50/50 granted we are bigger guys we spend about $120 week but like someone else mentioned this includes cleaning supplies, toiletries etc... Dont forget this kind of stuff in your budget and I also noticed it took us a few trips to get the price down and after we got a set routine which works the best for us.

hey.. only people food right?

cause if i add fish and catfood...sheesh i think they eat better than me

Make sure you write a list when grocery shopping as well, and stick to the list! Otherwise you will find its all to easy to put stuff in your cart that you don't really need.

You will spend less if you cook yourself meals rather then buying frozen dinners or something. It depends on your diet and where you shop. buying fresh is healthier, but of course costs more than canned or frozen produce.

ramen noodle is dirt cheap!!!!!
