well i dont even handle my money i get from SSI lifenet that works throught the state does. and they pay my bills on TIME which they have for months even a year that i had them... i get full 778 a month
Have you even spoken to your fiduciary yet? They may not (legally speaking) provide you with any funds for moving into your own place.
You really cannot plan to do anything until you speak to the money people--and that is your fiduciary. In my experience, if you have a fiduciary and you are over 18 years old, there must have been some type of court-directed action as to your legal ability to be considered 'competent' to make your own decisions. The apartment people may not legally be able to enter into any type of decision with you and you may have to regain your legal 'competence' from a court. But like I stated earlier, you cannot do anything before speaking with the folks who are keeping the SSI money on your behalf.
well noone i mean NOONE has legal gaurdionship over me AT all. granny told me ( which i think is a lie cause i wasnt told back then ) that there was some ppl from court that wanted to take me to court to prove me incompentent but i really dont believe that at all but my granny said she told them that they should wait and see how i do and act and be. but im 20 and noone can prove me incompentent i havent i havnt even lived on my own to prove that....
A fiduciary is not a guardian or guardianship. It is a legal payee because the person who is getting/entitled to the money has been found (legally) to not be able to make sound competent decisions. Only a court of law is able to make the initial finding--your grandma or aunt or any other relative would not be able to make this determination nor is SSA nor a medical doctor. If no legal determination has been made as to your competency status as an adult--then you should have no fiduciary. The only other way that you could legally be found to be in need of a payee is if you--as a legal adult--requested this determination and waived any/all legal proceedings and opted for the fiduciary.
Just a note when reading this thread: it appears as though your Grandmother is looking out for you and is not trying to harm or hold you back in any way except in the matter of hygiene.
