IMO, this format is a cake walk for the mafia. It absolutely baffles me how Ice was able to identify anyone on this mafia team, much less nail 3 (in a row) out of 11 possibilities the way he did.
If I were mafia and Annie, Zaffy, and TRS were my teammates...
Mind, you I don't have benefit of knowing what suggestions the mafia offered each other, but this is the game plan I like best starting out: Put both Annie and Zaffy at the top of my initial suspect list (subject to change) and leave TRS alone to hide out by being typically out of sight/out of mind until later in the game. Then concentrate on posting a lot.. build some lukewarm cases while it's mostly random that I could pursue further or drop later... "help" the town out by debating irrelevant issues back and forth... while trying not to do or say anything that might draw suspicion my way. If I felt I wasn't under pressure, I'd fire a few more serious (but not conclusive) shots at either Annie or Zaffy (but not both). I'd also jump on someone who "seems" to be scummy for any reason as long as the suspicion was caused by their own goof up or someone else's initiation instead of mine. Then I'd abandon my case against my teammate whenever that opportunity came up as the game unfolded and go after other players.... OR.. I would lead the charge against either of them if there had been some townie deaths and that option seemed a better plan. Basically, play it by ear and rely on logic, bogus distracting theories, or sincere/diligent efforts to help the town anywhere else but where it actually helps the town.
With Annie or Zaffy in on this plan, we'd establish that we're set against each other beyond what would be dismissed as as mild distancing... either of us would have benefitted in credibility points from the other's death. This might get either of us killed (of course), but.. again, that would only reinforce a perception of innocence for the other. This would also be viewed as "in character" for my usual style of posting and game play. Nothing to stand out as being unusual or particularly scummy.
When the game started, I was surprised that Ice was the first gunslinger. If I were evil, my pick for the 1st gun may have been a mid-range townie, but I'd rather have chosen a noob. Players like Ice, Jpappy, Dawg, and Zsand are too good as someone to banter with in the thread as an innocent (known by me) that I can either side with or argue against (or both as needed)... if I'm mafia and I know they're innocent but not a townie PR who can investigate me.
Ultimately, I couldn't shake that nagging feeling throughout this game that one of the mafia is a veteran who's very active and posting. As we learned Annie's, Zaffy's, and TRS' roles (thanks to Ice) new information kept reinforcing the feeling I had from the start that Dawg was playing this game very much as I would have done... just as mafia not an innocent.
With all that explained... I shoot Dawg.
(And hope for the best.)
If this choice is incorrect... Dawg will become the new GS and is in a great position carry on as the town wishes or choose to try another approach of his own.
