What's the risk vs. reward of putting a runaway vote on someone day 1.

Because no invest the 1st 3 days that show innocent can be deemed 100% innocent (except the Dr) because the Don shows innocent the 1st 3 days.

So I am guessing the Detective would focus on finding the Doctor, plus they can find 100% mafia players. This is not the first game that the Don comes up innocent.

What do you attribute your change of style to? Last game killing 3 mafia? Where is the old Ice?

annie, can you post who has not voted and is in danger of UD?

Thanks

 it took you how many games to note there is something "off" with me?
:silly: sorry, I have been reading stephen king lately and it seems to warp my sense of humor! any other SK fans here?
I just finished Under the Dome a month or so ago, it was good classic King, but a bit predictable.

Noods, this is only the second time I've played with you. The first one you got hit pretty quick by Frosty's misplaced snowball. I still don't feel I know the playing styles of anyone well enough to know what their tells are.
Bite me :P

I see nothing to make me change my vote at this time. There is a good bit of what I consider strange behavior for Day 1 between Ice's declaration of Innocence, Agass vote hopping, The new guy calling it quits, JL answering every friggin post he reads in individual posts ... It goes on and on.

On the topic of Ice, I'm not sure which "side" of the story to believe. I do think its rather odd that he would come out in the open so early an call for the doctors protection, but if he is innocent at least it would put the mafia in an awkward situation as for who they should hit. But at the same time it all hinges on the doctor not second guessing their choice, if they even choose to protect him.

If Ice is innocent, protected, and the hit target we should know. I would hope that Annie would put something in the posts hinting to the botched hit.

The problem is that if Ice is not hit, for whatever reason, we have no idea what he is. He could be mafia or the mafia may have just gone with a safer target. Thats what I have done on almost every team, go for someone who is a middle of the pack player and not likely to be protected and might even be hiding a role. It's all about numbers and it pays to get one innocent out rather than chance it on a "better" target like Ice.

So there really is absolutely no need to get rid of Ice so quickly. Heck, one game we kept him around for a while to help us (I think I was the one who mentioned it last game, Kash). The fact of the matter is, while he's a dangerous player, we are back to a game where the TOWN decides who goes, not an individual. If the mafia are afraid of one person rather than the collective group, I think they'll have more problems themselves. Ice simply cannot take out the entire mafia team this round.

Ice, you're a smart player, and I can be certain that you've thought everything through. I just dont see why you would say what you have so early unless you were really trying to pull something. At this point I would rather stick with Agass, obviously because I still find him suspicious and that would put me in the lead (I think), but I would also like to think about it more before jumping ship. I have to say, out of all of the conspiracy theories Kash has propsed, I find this the most believable.

Just my two cents but a throw away vote on Day 1 is a good way to lay low, not commit, not have your name on a lynch. All that is anti-town. Pro-town wise I guess if you aren't very confident in your suspects it makes it less likely you lynch an Innocent, which I can understand wanting to do, but that only helps you and not the Town.

So why did you choose to vote jpap?

I don't know if you are innocent or mafia. A good way to find out is to lynch you. So far you are my top suspect. I am not sure if I have "led the charge against" you or if anyone really even trusts me enough to follow me. It is not like their is a train on you. It is day one and someone is going to get lynched. Who is your top suspect now? Any suspects of people not voting for you? Why are two of the three people voting for you mafia or even all three?

I chose to vote jpap for reasons I stated before, for the way he kept on Ag. I also thing Ag's rapid vote switching was odd, and the way he squirmed each time jpap poked at him arose suspicion in me. I went with jpap over Ag because the more I thought about it the more his behavior seemed like it was more than bush kicking. It did seem that he set Ag up and Ag took the bait. The interchange seemed like more than a distancing interchange between teammates. I think one is mafia, right now leaning towards jpap.

Noods posting from the start has sent off little warning bells. Blaming a Stephen King novel? I've got a midterm tomorrow but I'm posting (and procrastinating). The distancing interchanges between her and Dawg make me add them to my list. I'm actually not sure whether you are mafia, I suspect Noods and Dawg more than you (for the interactions I've just mentioned). Noods claims to have no feelings on the way anyone is leaning.

Of those not voting for me (and maybe the timing of the posts this afternoon made me tie you in with Noods and Dawg) I suspect either jpappy or Ag.
