We Are SO Snowed In!!! (Virginia)

I'm trying to be optimistic about all this snow. Atleast Virginia will not be facing any drought issues in 2010. :)

We got about 2 feet here. Did not go out at all today. My dog however loves doing snowplows in the backyard. She just puts her face in the snow and pushes.

I've got a friend in White Post, VA who is snowed in at her house, while her husband is snowed in at work. He's been there since yesterday, and won't be home at least until tomorrow because of the roads and such. She sent pictures of her dog and one of her horses - The only thing you can see on the dog is his nose and ears - the snow is somewhere around 3 ft deep! Yikes!

Jill, that Trooper is something else!! My goswh, how do you not let that little guy in the bedroom with you to cuddle at night!!

:jaw-dropping:

he is a handsome fella but i don't quite know about that.

at any rate i'm about snowed in too. :1zhelp:

I am in South Carolina but spent 55 years in Pittsburgh, PA and remeber all of what you are going through. I am so happy I will never have to pick up a snow shovel again.

Wished we had that snow over here in the West Coast!

No you don't....believe me, I moved back to the west coast to get away from that snow :P If you start missing it, remember Seattle and Portland last Christmas. :shakehead::shakehead::shakehead:

Oh, man... Our power was out for 3-4 hours yesterday. That wasn't a huge deal, and we have a generator (which we've NEVER needed after having it for years). It was really concerning, not knowing how long it would be out or how long the generator would run with the horses' heated water containers, fish tanks, fridge, freezer, furnace... It wasn't even off long enough for us to get serious about fooling with the generator -- which we got years ago following a tropical storm that left us w/o power for days. It must be a magic charm as since we bought it, power is never out for long LOL!!!

This morning, I'm worried that my husband is going to go dig out this elderly man's driveway that he's worked for (odd jobs) since he was a kid. 50 miles away and roads are awful. Really hoping he doesn't try it. He is SO freaking stubborn!!!
