With that background, you should be ok. It has a lot of chemistry terms in the first half of the book and reads more like a term paper than a book. Hence why people get bored reading it. I read it and felt that if you understand basic Chemistry bonds and how they react with each other than the book should be no problem to understand completely. I have had people tell me that the more they reread the book the more new information they get out of it. I guess it all depends on how comfortable you are with reading technical/scientific wording.

My copy is sitting on the bookshelf collecting dust. I can't remember how long ago I actually read it. I'm guessing '00-'01 since it's the 1st edition. Still is in excellent condition, too.

Here's another 'oldie but goodie':

I sold my copy years ago but I really wish I had hung on to it, though. Nice little collectors item and mine was autographed. The guy I sold it to was extremely excited about it..lol.

Not many have that, I keep mine for seeing how bad things where back then and how gullible folks where. Myself included, sent me on a warpath ever since.
1988 is when I got it.

Diana's book has lot more right things she's stated that will stand the test of time far more than the marketing dupla book ever can hope for.
