Is Seachem the Best Fertilizer?

4. Seachem Trace is worthless

i'll have to agree with that based on my experiences. i am not willing to say i know how or why but i can speculate. when you mix up a bottle of trace ferts for yourself it's suggested to keep them refrigerated to keep them fresh. if the same exact minerals/what have you are bottled and sitting on a warm shelf that suggests to me that it's going bad waiting for me to buy it.

EDIT: i also believe snake oil is the #1 selling product in the aquarium hobby. that's obviously unrelated to seachem...

Should I use all 7 Seachem Fertilizers at Once?

Should I use all 7 Seachem Fertilizers at Once?

1. Seachem Flourish
2. Seachem Excel
3. Seachem Iron
4. Seachem Trace
5. Seachem Phosphorus
6. Seachem Potassium
7. Seachem Nitrogen

Or is that overkill?

Can you overdose and wind up killing your Plants.

Can it do more Harm than Good?

I bought a New Light and my Plants keep Dying, Getting Eaten by Fish , Turning Yellow, Etc.

I have never had Luck with Live Plants and Hate Plastic / Silk Plants.

Please Help.

Thanks,
Steve

I would definitely suggest dry ferts. They will save you a lot of money.

Research pps pro fertilizing.

imho sechem might be the best liquid ferts but by far not the best ferts. the best ferts are from aquariumfertilizer.com.

for carbon there's still seachem's excel or co2 injection.

So do I go to this site and buy everything they sell?

I hope I don't come off stupid I just really really want to know how to keep a Planted Tank.

I am a Total Noob at this.

How do I know how to dose the Dry Fertilizers?

The Seachem Bottles tell me specifically.

If I buy from these Dry Fert Guys will they tell me or do they just assume I already know?

Thanks for all the help so far guys I am learning alot.

I never even knew about dry Fertilizers.

Do Pet Shops sell them or do you have to buy them Online?
