Thank you very much, aquarium1!

No problem.

Well I didn't get to go to the lfs today. Maybe we'll get a snow day on monday and the roads will be fine lol, hope so. Hoping to special order some hongis.

Great, males L. hongi are beautiful mbuna!

moved the tank, changed around the rocks pics to come tomorrow (which is my 3rd snow day in a row lol)

Well I guess I should update with pics, a little late, sorry lol.

I'm planning on adding more rocks soon and possibly get some more Acei.

Looks awesome, Wayne :D What kind of sand is that?

I found a clay pot at TJ Maxx - unglazed, made in Vietnam and the clay was gray. So basically it was just like a terracotta pot but with grayish clay instead of reddish. I've also seen articles that suggest gluing (with silicone) gravel or river rocks to the pots and perhaps adding a bit of silk plant to it or something to make it blend in more: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/diy_cichlid_cave.php

I know how cichlids love their flowerpots, but it can be a bit more aesthetically pleasing to try and blend it in more. Other than that your tank is :cool-1:

A group of Acei is a great addition in a mbuna tank, IMHO.

Lol. Thanks everyone. I don't currently have any silicone but maybe this summer I could silicone some slate pebbles from a local creek. I still need to get some more rocks but I'm on spring break so maybe tomorrow or later this week.

in the first tank set up there are a plant in the middle and to the left middle, are these fake

Yeah they are. Other than anubias or Java ferns they would tear almost any plant up at least from what I've heard. I haven't tried it tho.
