But it seems you're far too busy to post more than 3 times in over 2 days of play. You're not satisfied with my assessment of your contribution, thus far?

Correct both times. I did not expect the game to start during the week when I signed up. That's neither here nor there though. Everyone's accountable for their own vote.

Maybe you'll contribute something useful between now and then... in which case, my vote might change as well. Personally, I don't see that happening at this point.

Ok, here I go- the kids are taking a quiz, and I think I have time to post/vote.

I do hate the day 1 list, HN, but Bala knows that I've posted enough of them myself in the past. I understand how it can help organize one's thoughts. I still don't like it, but I understand it, I think. Of course, the only time I have posted a day 1 list was when I was mafia (oh my!). Icky.

I don't like Mad's quick, quiet vote for HN because of the list, either. It's an easy post to miss, and it's not like Mad to not explain his thoughts.

I totally agree with LG (gasp!) about the players on ILM- totally wasted votes. The don't even seem to hide one, though, because they stick out for how bad they are. (Did that make any sense?) I don;t know that they indicate scum at this time.

I'm wondering if JL's lone vote on TRS will stand. It seems to be based on the fact that TRS had only one post, but that doesn't seem like JL to me. Also, I'm wondering if TRS will UD, so I find JL sticking to that vote strange.

I don't like how many are on Wiz, and I'm not a huge fan of the case against him.

I vote to lynch Mad.

What would you consider useful on a day one? Does it matter?

That's really cute, HN. You know, I've played a lot of these games now and I don't believe we've been in one together before. So I don't actually know you and I don't know what's typical for your style of play. But you're still a veteran player at this... even if you're a little pressed for time and even if you might be a little rusty at the game.

If you want to know what being useful means on Day 1... do me a favor and ask somebody else. Your teammates, perhaps?

Better yet.. ask Fishfriend to coach you along. He gets a lot of advice from different sources. I'm sure he'd love to help you out.

My comments RE: the votes on WIz after LadyG:

Here's the thing. It honestly looks like a rush to vote Wiz after LadyG did. Noods jumped on pretty quickly afterward.

Actually, my apologies. RB voted for Wiz at 4:40 AM, then G at 10:30, then Rich at 11:30, I thought Noods was in there somewhere, but I don't see it in a quick run through. I know she voted WIz, but I don't see her post.

Anyway, the point it, we had something of a run on The Wiz this morning. Regardless of the status of the Wiz, it would be logical that one mafia would be jumping on board. If Wiz is mafia, then my bet is both of the other mafia are on him.

I still don't have a good feel as to who I'll vote for today. A few things have stood out:

FF - Invisible then visible when questioned. Also defended himself by claiming to have been invisible for the past 3 games, which has since been shown to be not the case.

Invisibility normally isn't a big deal, but FF has been the president of the 'Ban Invisibility' fan club for awhile now, so his choice to be invisible for this game is certainly odd. The fact that he couldn't explain why, when questioned, is odd too.

His switch from invisible to visible when questioned, and his false 'Ive been invisible for 3 games now,' could be an attempt to blend, as scum doesn't like the limelight....or based on his history in the game, it could have just been Thursday.


HN - I'm not crazy about Hook's involment so far. Definitely not the HN of old. List was fluff, and as has been pointed out, really not necessary as it was vague on most everyone.

The one thing that stands out most, is the attack (albeit mild) on Z's 'HOOT' theory. IMO Z's 'HOOT' theory was meant to be a joke. Even though he was named in that theory, the fact that HN would feel the actual need to discredit the theory is strange. It was a joke.



Wiz - Lots of folks seem to be on Wiz for giving Ogre an early kick. That really doesn't seem all that scummy to me. It might seem a little aggresssive, but not really opportunistic, so I don't see any scum-driven logic behind the kick.

The thing that bothers me about Wiz, though, is that he was named in the Z's HOOT theory, and also felt the need to discredit the theory. The theory was a joke, why bother trying to discredit it?





Z - Z seems to be participating less (in terms of substance) than he normally does. The thing that bothers me about Z was this exchange with HN.


In the exchange, HN discredits Z's HOOT theory, but ends by saying that he believes that the HOOT theory may have been Z tossing it out there to fish for scum.

Z's winking response is strange, as the HOOT theory was a joke. Z's wink seems to imply that he's acknowledging having been caught fishing for scum. Why didn't he just say "IT WAS A JOKE!" instead of seemingly trying to take credit for scumhunting there, when he clearly wasn't? It was a joke, not bait for a trap. [NOTE: the red in HN's quote above is mine, for clarity]

Actually, yes. I've read every post, but haven't gotten all the names/ideas straight.

Of the two people with the most votes I feel HN is a better choice for scum. His admittedly fluff filled list and his quick vote for Wiz for a small issue is what has me leaning that way. I also want to see a closer race between Wiz and HN as I think it will tell us more than a landslide on Wiz will. It may provoke some movement closer to night.

Now that I've had a little time to go back and get caught up, I agree with Dawg on this one, so... I retract my vote on the Wiz, and vote to lynch HN.

How much of substance have you posted? If I'd had more time to play, you'd be upset because I voted too often.

Just for clarity, let me say that what I agree with in Dawg's post that I quoted was that I'd rather see a close race than a landslide. I do think HN looks scummy... as much so as Wiz, anyway.

Just because I did not list you as a suspect in my earlier post does not mean that I cannot change my mind on the matter. Something is not sitting right with you at the moment however, I retract my vote to lynch LG and vote to lynch Wiz. He is the most scummy IMO at the moment. the fact that you (LG) are also voting for him does lower my suspicions of you a bit. And I did not vote for you because of the owl joke. I was just trying to figure out what you were talking about. My vote was based on a "gut feel". It's day 1 - sue me!
