Hobby Demographic Poll

In a conversation a while back with the owner of an LFS, he told me that most people in the hobby are male, and many are smokers. Not exactly sure where this came from, or where he got this theory but I thought it might be interestesting to test it here on AC ! Thanks for participating.

Back in the day I believe most fish hobbyists were indeed male smokers. At least all the fishkeepers I knew were. Don't think that's the case anymore... My husband and I both keep fish, and we both smoke.

Female here! I kicked up my fishkeeping to help quit smoking!!!! I have been smoke free since 02/03/10! More money and time for my hobby!

male... smoker... but i don't think this site is the right place for conclusive evidence. our members are a little more advanced, (sometimes) intelligent and probably don't follow the "norm" as the demographic goes.
