Mafia 72-Vampires game thread

Human error or malfunction maybe. I could see FF screwing up sending in the turn if it was entrusted to him but I don't see a team entrusting him. Wiz asked if people were having trouble posting. Maybe there were problems and a PM to LR didn't get through. Bit of a stretch but still a possibility.

is anyone else having trouble posting? every time i try to post the page fails to load and I have to refresh. :pc:

With the conspiracy theory "set up" scenario I’m just not seeing the reward outweighing the risk. Why complicate things with a set up for a possible future kill when you can have a guaranteed kill/turn this evening. A kill/turn last night would have helped the vamps a lot more than any future possible benefit from a set up. What’s the benefit in framing Ice so the town takes him out tomorrow when it’s likely going to happen when Kash shows innocent even without any further effort on the vamps’ part. There's much more benefit in taking a turn/kill while the set up only seems like a risky and needless complication. If Ice was not the intended victim of a set up then who was? I’m not seeing any other potential targets for a set up. Also extending the game past tonight exposes them to the ghost stake so there's a benfit in wrapping this up quicker not dragging out the game needlessly. Really can't see them passing up the turn. Sorry I’m just not seeing this is as a credible possibility.

So, Chill... are you saying you think Kash was the target for the kill/turn?

That leaves Kash as the target. Would LR have disclosed this? Unless she says we can't know. However the stake is first in the order of events so the vamps can't very well bite somebody who is all ready dead. LR would not be required to disclose the target once the target was dead. This is different then Pap who was turned and therefore still a viable canidate to be staked.

Why target Kash. Well the vamps knew she was innocent. More importantly by opposing Ice she would have a good chance of gaining the town's trust if he turned up vamp. In Ice's own word's

....
Wish it was me Kash, I think the town trusts you more then me.

Why take the risk on voting Kash when there were other less noticeable players to draw on. Well I haven't played with her before, but the talk seems to indicate she is a very good player, couple that with the armour of having taken down the Ice Vamp if he was guilty, and she would make a formidable addition to the vamp team. Was it reall risky? She was second, but it would be almost impossible for someone to pull off Ice last night. Other than FF being such a wild card and putting in the last minute vote switch Ice looked to have a lock on the stake. In a bad sitaution Kash would make a nice replacement.

The vamps might not of had a choice but entrust him with the turn. Based on the supposed team, FF is the only one watching the thread constantly, so he could make any quick changes to the turn if he really needed to.

I have to leave my vote on Ice for the same reason it was there yesterday. He started this game by floating out the vote the UD plan, not only is it unlike Ice to take the safe road, it's the exact same thing he did last game when he was scum. At that time it looked scummy and I wondered was it a tell, later that night when I was turned I knew it was. I can't help but think the same plan was in play this game.

I vote to stake IceH2O.

Well the only thing I can do is put myself in the role of being his partner and think what would I do if that was the sitaution. If I needed to trust him to make changes I would have sent in a vote with the stipulation that FF could change it if needed. If that was the case then there would have been a vote and there wasn't.

Based on whose supposed team? My supposed team includes Ice and he was definitely on.

I didn't notice this until Chill quoted JM's post...
well, I have not taken the time to write down the votes thus far but I have to get back to work and I wanna go ahead and place my vote; I will be voting where my very first vote of the game was: I vote to stake TwoHobbies. I am finding that even after I second and third guess myself, my first instinct is typically correct.

A thought: If we wind up with a tie between FF and 2H, perhaps we should ask the slayer to take out Dag? They would not have to out themselves, just go with the concensus and make the hit.....
Noodles here refers to the "concensus" as though this is a foregone conclusion. Like Chill, I haven't come to the same conclusion so what consensus are you talking about, Noods? The one you and Ice came to? Please forgive me if I'm not ready to jump on board just yet. The slayer's done pretty well so far even if it was luck.

First off, FF is perfectly capable of sending a pm to call for a turn. He may be a little spastic, but the kid tries really hard not to screw up. Then we come to "the supposed team". Again... what supposed team? The one Ice proposed?

I'd have to go back and check if JM's voted yet, but I can see Noods, Ice and JM setting him up with this. I'm starting to believe more and more that FF is innocent.

The team named earlier. FF, Dag, and 2H. Thinking about it though, it does make quite q bit of sense that 2H would seem to have so much experience even though it is heir first game. Also, ice may have FF act as erratically as possible to try to get people to think he's acting so crazy he couldn't possibly be on a team like they were thinking earlier. With ice's vote on FF and FF's following of the innocent Kash, they would have distanced one another just enough not to raise too much suspicion. That said, I think FF took it a little bit too far and tried to add more chaos by switchig to kash
