Jeez, so much mafia business, haven't done much fish-related stuff .OK, so I'm getting a 20 Long and I want either GBR's or Bolivian rams. I definitely want at least one provne pair. I was wondering how many rams total I could have in there, and if a pair was to form, if they would bother the other rams. It would have a good amount of natural cover and I don't think I would have any fish in there, maybe a few Cardinals. Thanks :)

Ditto, on the pair

Yeah, one pair. When they are breeding, no WAY are they going to tolerate other rams.

Yep, stick with a pair.

I would get 5 or 6 and develop a pair from that. Once you get a pair or hopefully two, I would separate the pair(s) and see if you can get a proven pair. Once you have the proven pair you can dispose of the others as needed.

one pair or 4 to 6 females on their own would work. they get along really well except for when they spawn.

if you get a pair, be sure to provide plenty of cover. I have seen my female ram kill a neon before while protecting her wigglers

I keep three pairs in a 46 bow community tank and raised a lot of Bolivian rams. I always pull the eggs to hatch them and grow them out in a 55 with young angels.

If you end up with two pairs, I would try them in a twenty long. You could always move them if you had problems.
