I have a 88 ford Taurus that I'm looking to sell,
but in not sure what to ask for it. It had a completely new AC and heat, as well as a new radiator, condensor, fender, front end as well as
brand new headlights, it's only got 120k miles and it's been in the family since it was new and has been taken great care of. However I would like to get a new car, what is something like this worth? I'm hopeing for 2500-3000...

Sorry to say, but I'm guessing $1500 ish.

I sold a 99 taurus with 80K a couple years ago for $3200 in Cleveland OH, and it was in great condition.
 
ya thats 20 plus years old... good luck with it. maybe 1000 cuz it runs. i have a 93 highly modded mustang that i am having tough time for 3800 and its got well over 10000 invested
 
cars nowadays are only worth the price someone wants to pay,.. no matter how it was taken care of or what all is new,.. unfortunately,..

i just sold my 97 grand am v6 for 1500.00 it was it great running condition and had 140k on it but the good thing is i bout it for 1500.00 and it had 60k on it never needed a thing but tires and gas for 3 years,..lol so i came out looking good,...;)
also turns out young guys like this year and the v6 motor say its the thing,... so again only good luck there,..
 
The best deal you are goin to get for such a well maintained car is to continue to drive it, save money.

Otherwise you are going to sell it for not much, and buy a different car which will either cost a lot of money, or else it will need all sorts of maintenance.

Drive the wheels off the Taurus.
 
Found out it has less miles than I thought,
it's in the 80k area not the 120k so I was off by about 40k lol. Idk if this changes much...
 
I agree with victor. You can probably get 2000$ tops for it. The car market sucks right now.
