You know you're a fishkeeper when.......

you know you're a fish keeper when you have a 20 min conversation on how to hide a fish tank, that's 3X the allowed size for the dorm room, for room inspections

...when your wife calls your hobby "the other woman"

...when you refer to the 55 gallon in your bedroom at the foot of the bed as your sons tank...and he is 5 months old..."babe, i need to buy (enter expensive decoration/species here) for Jr's tank...look at him, he is sad and wants to get some tank stuff"

YKYAFKW..

You hear your hubby say something mildly related to the fish-keeping hobby and it turns you on...

You start to think a 10 gallon tank is too small for any fish...

You talk to your hubby about the AC, and your posts and are starting to use the abbreviations in real conversations "BTW honey...." "We should look for some BNP's...." AND HE KNOWS WHAT YOU MEAN!!

You convinced your hubby to aquascape a 55 gallon bow front, even though he has previously had no interest in the hobby...

You write off fish purchases as essential in the weekly budget...

You know what a dead snail smells like...

You get more excited when your fish greet you than you do when your dogs greet you

You know your cats love the taste of fish food, and you love the smell...

You cry when your fish die...

You are currently talking to your hubby on the phone but because you are posting in this thread, you have to ask him to repeat himself a few times.... and he knows and thinks its cute

when you can convince your friends that your java moss and java fern is weed.

when you spend hours in the LFS running back and forth between the tanks.

when tanks start magically appearing, unknown to your parents.

YKYAFKW........ you get a kick out of this thread! lol.

(i'm actually pretty darn pleased that so many of you have contributed to this, :-) )
