What is the Meaning of Your Screen Name?

Willard is a nickname I was given by an old friend on the first day of grade 10 while he was trying to guess my last name (he knew it started with a W). I had last seen him in grade 2 or 3. One of my other friends was standing there and made sure the name stuck. I added 2.0 because Willard is now sort of my second name at school, and because 'Willard' was already taken on another forum.
My name is a combo of my birthyear and one of my favorite movie characters Tyler Durdan from Fight Club. I have retained this handle for well over ten years and will never let it goI claim stake to being the original Don Dada...

11 years is a long time to maintain the spelling "Durdan" when it is in fact Durden. :duh:
Needed a quick question answered and had never been on a fishy forum so just registered on AC with my domain User Name from work. Surname Green, initials PR.

When I was younger and lived with my parents my mom always referred to the predatory fish I kept as "vicious fish" because I would come home with a bag of goldfish (before I knew any better) and drop them in the tank to get eaten. I though it was a funny name so I used it when I joined AC. I don't really like it anymore but oh well, I'm too lazy to change it.
My username story isn't very interesting. I used to live in Brasil and while there people pronounced my last name which is Beal as Bill. My friends then started saying my name was Bill. Since Bill is not a name in Portuguese they associated it with some popular Bills that they knew of. Those names being: Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, and of course Buffalo Bill. I'm not sure why they all know Buffalo Bill but it stuck more than the others and the rest is history. Here in the states I got my normal name back but I still use Buffalo Beal as my cyber alias.
i will attest to that. i received that nickname immediately upon seeing fight club the first time. it stuck until my son was born. the wife wanted to name him after me. i didn't want him cursed with my name so his name is tyler durden followed by my first and last name. i was sketchy about it at first but it seems everyone thought it fit for my first born son... so, it is... he is now cursed with living out a life with one of my many nicknames. the good part... the use of most of them has subsided since his birth, whew.
my screen name... i knew that i knew just enough about fish to be dangerous... so it serves as a warning wherever i post... sort of like a precursor to a bad scene in a scary movie.
