Has Anyone Tried the 'Snazzy Napper'?

My nephew's birthday is coming up, and I wanted to get him a unique gift. I'm sure he's sick of getting video games and music download gift cards every birthday, and would appreciate something different. I think that the Snazzy Napper might make a good gift.

I'm wondering, though, if it blocks out light as well as they say it does. Also, none of the patterns seem particularly masculine. I'm thinking that he'd mainly use the thing on the school bus, and I wouldn't want the other kids poking fun at him just because the pattern on his Snazzy Napper wasn't cool enough.. When you're in 9th grade, being cool means a lot.

Anyone tried this thing, or know of somebody who did?

Help would be appreciated.

Is that a joke? If so its a good one. If not, no never seen it b4. Im confused...

:thud:

and i thought the snuggie was a joke. now the wife wears hers everyday. idk WHAT to say...

i'd definitely re-consider something motorized or video games for a 9th grade boy.

yeah, not the right gift for a teenage boy at all.

that's a hard age to buy for. why not get him a neat remote control car/helicopter/airplane? i know i'd like a gift like that! lol.

I don't think the kids are gonna make fun of him for the pattern as much as they are gonna make fun of him for the "Snazzy Napper". Great that you are thinking of unique gifts but I would pass this one over.

I'd get him the original, as I think he'd look kind of silly wearing the extra-large version on the school bus.

I think everyone is over reacting. I think the "Snazzy Napper" would make a great gift for a teenage boy in the 9th grade. Just make sure that when you give him the "Snazzy Napper" you also include a gift certificate for some psychotherapy sessions or a Greyhound bus ticket out of town :nilly:.

I'm just teasing :joke: . Seriously, it is nice of you to be thinking about your nephew & wanting to get him a gift he'll enjoy. But the "Snazzy Napper" isn't it (regardless of the pattern). Seems like teenage kids don't get tired of video games, they may get tired of a particular video game, but not of video games in general. However whatever your reasons are for wanting to avoid video games, I'd go with another alternative besides the "Snazzy Napper".

I really like BettaFishMommy's suggestion of remote control cars/planes/helicopters. You can get a fairly inexpensive (b/w $20 - $30) remote control styrofoam airplane that'll keep him quite entertained for awhile. It's a lot of fun trying to master flying one of those things & it gets kids outside too.

well, having been a 9th grader only reccently i reccomend either Video games, computer games, a remote control vehicle, or a good book (dependi ng on what kind of kid he is). Maybe a new grafics card if he likes computers, or just a new game if he likes video games. Not a "Snappy Napper". Although, it is original :D

I can say nothing good....:jaw: so I'll pass. I am in agreement though--something electronic or perhaps some type of music gift card if he listens to an MP3 player.
