Vacation Pond

So since this years Vacation pond is at an end and that i did fairly well i am thinking now that i need to make this bigger because i was playing with numbers and to find out that my current Mbuna pond was actually 257gals do not know why i thought it was 500gals but it isn't so since i have been telling folks it was i need to hold true to that gallonage or any excuse to make it bigger to hold more fish LOL...

So i shut it down early to do this, I will start with before and after photos just be aware i am not finished..

I have the pond liner ordered and should have it soon but since this pond is closed for the season i may not install it til next spring not sure yet, I do know before in the winter if there was water to the top of the pond it would freeze solid and not sure if it will freeze the 514gals or not i may try cattle heaters this year..

Here is what it looked like this year plus you can find more older photos on this thread..

The tear down..

The concrete goldfish spitter will be added to this somewhere I am thinking in the middle of the fountain.. As i sit here look at this i may go ahead and place the liner and add water just to see it in operation..

Future stock will be big Cichlids i may do some larger Haps or CA cichlids not sure yet
