Honestly, I don't really know what anyone's talking about as far as it being too bright or too hard to see. This is what I see...is this what YOU see?
I don't see how it's hard to read. It looks very clear and crisp to me. The "whiteness" of it is not my favorite thing, but there are plenty of advantages to the upgrade, I am discovering. The menu for uploading pictures, for one thing, has a lot more options...I like that. I just discovered it now when I was uploading this screen capture.
Instead of going on and on about what's bad about the upgrade, why not try looking around and exploring the new features? At least one tiny new thing a day comes up for me that makes me like it better. For example, yesterday, I saw that the smiley menu now has the :description: under it, so you can learn how to type out that smiley more easily now. That's something I like!
I kind of get the feeling that some of you (not all of you) who don't like it think that complaining about it will get the mods to change it back. It's an upgrade in software to a newer version, so it's not gonna ever go back to how it was...I'm sure the upgrade was expensive, too!
I have lots of gripes about Windows 7. It bothers me, for example, that there are no more visible keyboard shortcuts (
File,
Edit,
View, F
avorites etc. are a thing of the past, I guess) that the "Games" folder cannot be removed (all you can do his hide the games, leaving you with a useless empty folder if you do not play games, I suppose Microsoft did not realize such people existed!) that often times certain operations are blocked, such as the ability to select multiple items using Shift+Arrow keys.
This is annoying...it bothers me that Windows 7 has taken away so much control from my OWN computer...but I'm not going to spend any time writing to Microsoft about it. It's not going to change, and I don't really care that much anyway
The point is, just learn to live with it, people. Also, complaining about the ads is pretty petty, considering you can block them with an add-on, and having to "put up with them" is the ONE thing that many of you do to support this site. (I don't buy AC merchandise either, so not like I am judging anyone on this.)
