Nope, rtbob is correct. I know username how you could have thought that but you add what is in the parenthesis, the P stands for what is in the parenthesis. So we know that it is 48/ 2(12). However order of operations, when multiplying and dividing have equal priority, you go from left to right, so it is (48/2)(12)=288
