Betta Teens: The High School Years

The first male pictured on this second page looks really nice! Are these plakat bettas? Are the parents all the same species of betta? Great job raising the fry

Yup, they're plakats. Although, interestingly, I have a few males with fins that seem a bit long for plakats.

Here are a couple more males at 2.5 months old. They're all pics of different fish except the first two are of the same male.

At first impression, I thought the fish above was female. However, he actually just started blowing an unmistakable bubble nest a few days ago. I think he'll be quite interesting once his fins and color fully develop.

Wow cool bettas! May I ask where you got your parents? Are they Thai imports or were you lucky enough to find such nice ones in a LFS?
