I'm considering it. I have an IPhone 4 that I'm sure i could sell to make up some of the cost on the new one. Depends on how much AT&T wants to charge before my upgrade time.

Nice phone but I don't need fancy gadgets. It would be more of a fad purchase than any other kind.

I've been holding out on a new phone, hoping they were coming out with the iphone 5. My 3 is about to bite the dust. I'm not impressed with the 4S, really all the new features I can do without. I may just get a 4 since they're dropping the price to $99 or get a 3G since they're going to be free.

I really don't get why people are so impressed by the iPhone series. 1-2 years behind the technology of other phones. Less capable. Less customization.
And yet it is more expensive and tends to be on the more expensive networks.

Nooope. My no contract service is soon to be offering a new android with a 8mp camera and has plans for Instagram early next year which is the only reason iphone ever appealed to me in the first place. I'll definitely be saving my pennies for that.
