Mafia 96 Who Are You? Game Thread

Are you confusing me with Ice or are you asking me? If you're asking me I did say I agree with spreading out the vote but by the time I got back that was no longer an option and a lone vote on Labby served no purpose.

ice sorry. i get soo many people confused.

also maybe wiz meant to not tell us if the hitman was mafia or not. why he would do that i dont know.

Say everyone had gone with the spread out plan and there were 5 people up for lynching. How much do you bet that any of the people who were up for lynching would stay on their vote instead of breaking it to save themselves? You can't say someone trying to save themselves and get someone lynched they think is scum could indicate that they are the Don. The only way the whole spread the vote makes sense is if you're not one of the people who are at risk of being lynched. Anyone would change their vote last minute to save one's self and even more so if the vote were spread out among many people so that even if both you and your team up you could vote for some random person to break it. You can't gain any information about anything from one second switching when they are on the chopping block themselves.
So if a spread out vote wasn't a good idea then why didn't you speak up? You also didn't speak up and say a tie was a bad idea. You were around to do so. Instead, you're going after me after the fact, like you were some uninvolved bystander or something. I fully expect people to move to save themselves, to not do so in this format would be stupid and bad for whatever team they are on. I said this earlier, if you care to read what I've actually posted.

Sounds like you're playing both sides here, with saying both a spread out vote and a tie vote were bad ideas. Tell me, what would we have learned had everyone piled on UN for his obviously scummy move?

I didn't say that we would have learned something had everyone voted for UN but in your own words "his obviously scummy move" should have made it a definite vote for him. I don't get why you would risk not having him lynched after "his obviously scummy move" just to have the tie with AAF. I would much rather everyone vote for they think is scum rather than "go for a tie" especially when you can't learn anything from the tie.

While I didn't say I thought the tie idea was bad at the time I did start questioning you about it:
omg i wish night would just get here to stop all the vote changes, it's driving me nuts trying to keep track of what the standings are only to refresh and it's different. The only problem about going in with a tie to see if anyone swaps vote is we don't have a definite time for night fall.

what point do you see in having it a tie? no one knows when night fall is other than when wiz gets home. I don't think anyone will be able to time that out to do a last minute vote change to save a teammate.

to which you never answered my question, you only said I never thought about not knowing what time nightfall was. Had I said I think it's a bad idea about the tie at the time I believe you would have responded with something to the extent of "oh are you nervous about losing one of the people up there and trying to save them?"

skimming are we?
Bosses- Mayor/DON You are the team leader, you just don't have a team yet. You will find your team by PMing/emailing me a name that you want looked at each game night.. This will either bring a team member to you for communicating purposes or show you they belong to the opposite team. You will only be told evil/innocent not if they are the boss or Hit/Police. If you die its game over and your team loses.

Hitman/Policeman - You work for your respective team and get 1shot per game. The only catch is that you CAN NOT take your shot until you are found by the Boss of your team and start communicating. The shots can be taken at any time of day, just send me a PM/email. You might have to wait for me to see it as I might be at work.

Logically I would have to assume that the policeman would be the innocent shooter and hitman be the scum shooter.

To those wondering why I changed my mind about spreading out the votes.

Its simple really and I can't believe so much is being made of it.

The situation changed. It happens. UN made a scum move. AAF was already ahead by a few votes and thought scum and Zaffy had less then I thought. I moved from DD to UN then wanting to keep it somewhat spread voted for Zaffy. Seeing that Zaffy didn't have as many votes as I thought I then moved to AAF when I saw AAF could move to UN to save himself. In a 50/50 game and 2 highly suspected scum on the block I thought it fitting a coin flip sent one home. Both scum so it didn't matter. If there ended up not being a tie and 1 died then so be it and hopefully we still got scum.

What I don't understand is why does it matter unless the 3 making the biggest stink ( Kash,LG,Dag) are pissed they lost a hitman.

We weren't going to learn anything either way by where votes are placed, this isn't a traditional game. Yet.

I wasn't convinced then or now that AAF is scum. I was convinced after UN pulled that move that he was scum and thus I changed my vote. If you are so convinced AAF is scum why haven't you already cast a vote to lynch him? How do you go from both are scum to "If there ended up not being a tie and 1 died then so be it and hopefully we still got scum." Within the same paragraph you went from both are scum to hopefully if we didn't coin flip we'd get a scum.

Also Ice, by "making the biggest stink" do you mean question your plan of spread the vote which then became make it a tie after UN slipped?

You are the one who said there is a strategy if you're smart you'll figure it out. Now you wonder why people question your plan? interesting...
