I ordered some anubias eye from Singapore last week and u know I opened the envelope all excited to get my plants. Well I was disapointed when I opened it just to see a letter from the border patrol stating they destroyed my plants. So I'm just saying don't buy your plants from outside the USA

All plants imported into the U.S. require the proper permits. It is actually much harder to ship a plant legally into the U.S. than it is a fish. You will need a USDA APHIS permit (PPQ587) in order to import plants. And that is assuming that the plants you wish to import are not restricted.

Importing plants without a permit is illegal but unless the plants are declared to customs or they happen to be selected for inspection they may not get caught.

Ah, the USofA... destroying plants and ruining our fishtanks one letter at a time... hur, I hope you at least get your money back.

Get his money back? You're kidding right?

Sub, just because you're an everlasting pessimist doesn't mean we all have to be... some places would give the money back if this happened, others wouldn't. So don't assume the worst.

Every Asia-based seller of plants I see on AB states clearly that customs is the responsibility of the buyer.
I would have hoped you'd have reached the level of self-awareness to know that it's not that I'm a pessimist, it's just that you get lots of crazy ideas.

This escalated quickly, lets stop now.
