For that price, I can get a 26 bowfront with some extra gravel (10g upgrade) and plants for $70. So that small tank isn't even worth the money.

Its a very cool concept that could be made to fit your own aquarium. It looks fairly simple. It sort of reminds me of how my bathroom sink has a hole near the top so the water doesnt overflow. But no way would i pay that money unless it was on a 10 gallon or bigger tank. With the money it cost to buy one i could setup another 40B and then some other things.

I think people that know nothing about fish will buy this, and I know I won't.

Really not the "ideal" home for ANY fish like that women says. It's a good idea but isn't really complete IMO.

I can only think that one of my friends may want to by one. Who knows... there are people out there that would put a goldfish in that tank.

Agree that the size and price are both too small and too high, however....
I dunno guys...the concept seems pretty neat at least for water changes - put a pail or hose on the outlet and just pour in conditioned FW.
Well, that is if you're stuck on gravel (I like sand better as there's never any uneaten food and the crud doesn't get down under).

Pretty sure "crud" does work its way into sand....if nothing else, from fish nibbling at it and pushing it in. A major reason DSB tanks work.
