Thanks... LOL

Yeah, the one with red tint dominating the back xD It's really cool looking!

It is a cool plant for me it doesn't turn red/orange until it gets closer to the lights, but if you have high lighting you can get it red closer to the substrate. I have the same plant in a 55g which is taller no Co2 it is completely green when I trim it and float the plant new growth becomes a deep red. It's an easy plant to keep it, may not be so easy to make red if that's your intention without strong lighting. If you want an all red less finicky plant you may want to check out A. reineckii you'll need decent lighting to keep leaves on the lower part of the stems as with most plants.

This the A. reineckii in the 180g

I really like the way yours is green and then turns to red at the top. I don't have very strong lighting, but my tank gets quite a bit of ambient light from windows with the blinds closed, so that helps my plant growth. And the A. Reineckii is really nice looking too :) Don't red plants need a bit of iron though?

Very nice! I'm gonna have to try and find some of this. It says it will grow well in lowlight, but growth is slower.. It would be really cool to try out. Thanks, man!

Your Welcome let me know how you make out. If you don't find it try Petsmart that's where I picked mine up but you'll have to deal with the transition from emersed to submersed. We've had a lot of wacky weather so I didn't want to risk shipping from a fellow aquarist.

That is what I thought, but everytime I add Fe (Iron) I get algae. Well, I stopped dosing iron, red plants still red.

I'm not supplementing iron either, any iron in the tank would be from the CSM+B fert dosing. I forgot where I saw some red plants prefer low nitrates instead. Do you have a list of red plants you've had success with? I've only started stocking my 180g so my experience so far since moving is the A. reineckii and L. glandulosa.

Awesome, I love time lapse pics. Looks like a nice tank !!!

Thank you.

Yes please! Keep me in mind for some mermaid weed! I didn't know it was so slow to propagate...or that it might be as easy to grow (eventually) as I've read. I should have clicked on your pics, then I could have told which it was, lol. Looks great! I really like the full spikey leaves.
