Weird lumps on pleco

Your pics don't show the spots clearly enough, can you try for more close ups please? It could be ich, fairly treatable, or something else. "Lumps" sound like maybe something like lymphocytes (untreatable but maybe survivable). Do the lumps looks kind of like cauliflower? Or salt sprinkles?
Tell us all about your tank please. What size? How long set up? Did you "cycle" it before adding fish? What other fish? Maintenance?

So sorry for such a late response. I honestly hadn't expected to get such a quick reply. I've decided to store the pleco in a 2 month old cycled 10 gallon tank for now. Worried that it might be transmittable. I hope quality of the pictures isn't too poor, here are some close ups of the lumps. He's been staying cooped up in the rock cave I had setup so it's hard to get better pictures. He hasn't eaten anything yet either.
Could be a form of parasites called Metacercariae, aka yellow grub. They occasionally show up in aquarium fish.
Praziquantel should take care of it, if not flubendozole will.

Ive encountered it in a few fish. Currently one of my rainbowfish has one in his back, been treating with flubendozole and it is slowly receding.

That's a new disease to me. TY NoodleCats for an ID & treatment options, I'm always learning.
I hope Cookies76 lives where s/he can get those drugs, not everyone does...You can in Canada, we can in the US. It doesn't seem like an emergency if you can order online, but early treatment is always preferable.
Yeah, it does look like 1 of those plecos that grows large...it must be small yet to go in a 10g...1 thing at a time...for now. He looks thin too. Treat soon & let us know how it goes. Good luck!

Thank you so much, luckily I live in the US so I won't have any issues obtaining the meds. I went ahead and ordered Hikari PraziPro, hopefully it works.
At the moment the plecos about an inch big, my plan originally was to put it in my 20 gallon and then upgrade to a 55 however I was worried my 2 goldfish would catch what he had so he's temporarily in the 10 gallon.
I've tried to feed him Hikari Algae Wafers, Tetra Algae Wafers and blanched carrot. I'm gonna try some zucchini tomorrow, hope to entice him to eat something.

Be sure to remove uneaten food soon. Ill fish often don't eat, but they can go ~ 2 weeks without much impact...except very young fish like yours. I would offer a small bit of wafer overnight. If he eats it, great! If not vacuum or net it out, you don't want any leftovers polluting the small tank.
I've almost never given carrot to fish. I offer zucchini with a bit of wafer in a small slit in the veg. But you'll still need to remove uneaten food & do regular (frequent) water changes. Does he poop? He may eat a bit at night, that'd be good.

Yeah a 55g is gonna still be too small to keep this guy past 8 inches unfortunately.
F fishorama You know, the parasite I had to do a lot of digging on as well, it's one seen more with fishing rather than aquarium fish, but can't say I haven't come across it. My eques cories actually had it when I first got them.
Had to go back to some of my early photos, but look at the Cory's tail here
It's an unusual one to come across, but it pops up time to time.
In my experience, it's usually either from fish wild caught or fish that came into contact with outdoor fish or came in contact with outdoor fish.
My rainbows came from a store that shared a filter with their koi stock... that's where theirs likely came from.

I've been removing any uneaten food in the morning. I had some carrots left over so I thought it wouldn't hurt to try. He does poop occasionally so it seems he is eating but it's not nearly enough. I plan on doing a water change today before I add the PraziPro.
I'll see if I can scrap my original plan and try to bump it up to 150 gallon, maybe 200. Will have to check if my floor can hold it first.
