Hey guys, I currently have a 5x3x2 indoor pond with a spotted gar and a Midas. It’s boring though, the Midas hides constantly and the gar just floats in one spot. So I’m selling the gar and moving the Midas to a traditional tank. So I’m looking for some ideas for large, active, aggressive fish with a strong feeding response that are comfortable in a pond setting. I’m thinking about getting a vulture cat and or a smallmouth bass or possibly a peacock bass of some type.
But what ideas do you have for me?
Thanks in advance!

Hey FishAddict74 FishAddict74 , its me AR1 from MFK. Anyways i followed your midas thread on MFK. Don't give up on it yet. It took my midas about two months to fully adjust and show its bossy attitude. All that waiting really paid off. ITs very active now and accepts pellets from the hand.

Hey man!
No I’m not giving up on it, he’s too awesome for that. I’m down sizing my collection a little and selling off my mbuna, gudgeons, rasbora , guppies and gar. I’m gonna have an empty tank so I’m gonna move the Midas to that

I see. You can add a jardini or silver arowana along with some cool catfish like RTC,TSN, etc. A group of oscars would also be cool.

I’m actually thinking about a single aro and a vulture cat. A MBU puffer might be cool too. I’m looking for stuff that will be active and not skittish when viewed from above and hopefully will hand/tong feed

So I ended up ordering a vulture cat and a golden giant gourami last night. There’s already a granulated catfish in there From what I saw on YouTube,This should work out pretty good.

Hate to be a downer but giant gourami are extremely aggressive and brutal killers. Will this mix work?
