Anybody else remember the days when there was no OS? You had to type the command code in DOS for what you wanted to do. I was just a wee little kid back then, but I still remember.
Well, i dont exactly remember the days before operating systems were on computers...But, i remember when Windows 2.0 was out, i also did a microsoft "exam" on DOS..That was all command based obviously...And now look where we are with Vista...So impressed with Vista...
Ahh I forgot to mention Ubuntu, I run a live CD version of Ubuntu from time to time just to play with it (the computer boots from the CD, you dont install anything onto the hard drive). Thats a good way to check out linux if you interested but dont have to install a dang thing on your computer or know anything about it. I had some problems installing linux on my p4 and all I can run is the live cd version.
XP home on one computer and my other computer is a dual boot with server 2003 and xp home. I used to have the eval. version of Vista as a triple boot on the second computer.
I'm trying to decide which Linux OS to install as a dual boot on my first computer. I want to install one to get familiar with Linux OS in case I am up for a job where I need familiarity with LInux.
