Here is the newest addition to our family, his name is Mickey and is terribly cute and friendly, I've never had a hamster before and we're all so excited to become aquainted with him!! :)

I know, that's why I got 'em, cool right?!? Apparantly he's a European Hamster (ooo la la) descended from show hamsters?!!?!? Did you know there was such a thing?!?!? LMAO....

LMAO!! I have never ever heard of such a thing but if it works, I'm good for it, LMAO!!At any rate, congrats on that cute little bugger, he looks like a ball of personality!
 
Is he a "black bear" hamster? My son had one they are very sweet, I love how when they stand on thier hind legs you can see the little tan on thier chest (belly).

Actually, it IS a black bear hamster, and he is very sweet, even with my two year old -- he's a very mellow guy.

BTW, Chickiee, lmao! I know, it was my old aquarium background.....
didn't you know hamsters originated form the Amazon jungles? ;)
