You can see what I have in my 55g currently in my sig. I've been thinking about other stocking options I could do. So I thought I'd throw it out there to anyone that wants to put out some ideas. If you could stock my 55g planted tank, starting at square one, what would you put in it? I'm open to any ideas you all have.

I've also got a 5.5g tank for my office I am going to set up soon. I'm thinking of fish from here...http://www.franksaquarium.com/nanofish.htm
because I want colorful, but small and I don't think I can get such things anywhere around here. Is this a reputable site? And what would you pick from there?

So according to your sig. you have quite a few fish in this tank already. Do you plan to keep them and just add to them or are you revamping the whole tank?

i'd do an angel, 6 congo tetras, 6 cories, and a bristlenose pleco insteand of the stock you have now.

for the 5G i'd do a betta and an apple snail or 3 guppies and an apple snail.

Disregard what I have in there now. Just if you had my empty 55g what would you stock it with?

No livebearers in the 5.5....no no no. :D

I think doing an angels tank with bigger tetras such as diamond tetras or congo tetras and making it a fully planted aquarium would be beautiful.

IMO..if you didnt have anyother fish in there..I would do some discus:D

And the 5g...maybe a betta and some snails:D

i would go all asian. 5-6 kuhli loaches, 15-18 harlequin rasboras, and 1-3 gouramis. or two large schools of two different rasboras plus several female bettas.

I'm trying to gather ideas as, I'm not pleased with my current stocking. I get a bit tired of watching attempted matings 24/7. :) The tetras could stay but otherwise...

Put all the livebearers in the empty tank, and get something nice and carnivorous for the 55g

All of my molly fry are going to the big needlefish belly in the sky . . . :D
