How long before my tank starts a new cycle?

Hey everyone, my 55 gallon tank just finished cycling and I removed a couple of goldfish I used to cycle it for the past two months. I took them out two days ago and placed some new driftwood in the tank while re-arranging some of the plants that were in there as well. Tommorow, I am going to go out to my LFS to buy the fish I really wanted to stock the tank with (I'm going to add 1-3 fish every week) and I just wanted to ask whether having my tank empty for three days had any effect on my tank's cycle? About how long after being empty does a tank go through another cycle once fish are added again? Thanks for your help in advance.

the bacteria from the cycle can only last about a day. take a pinch of fish food and put it in the tank if you cannot go and get the fish tomorrow.
so you are saying that a cycled tank will only stay cycled, for one day after removing fish? That's a little far fetched, add some fish, just do not go overboard. Common sense goes a long way in the fish world.
