they are tropical fish so around 78F. BGK's have no use of their eyes and basically rely on tiny electrical impulses to locate food in the water. because of this, you can't really house more than 1 in a tank or else their sensors will interfere and irritate each other. other than that, BGK's are pretty peaceful community fish. They can reach a size up to 2 feet in the right conditions so prepare to have a large tank, at least 75G's and more is recommended. my friend has one and it feeds exclusively on live food such as bloodworms, tubifex worms, brine shrimp and sometimes sinking wafers. if your lucky, you may get it to accept frozen food. they require a bit of work and care but are beautiful to watch.
