so I just found out that neon tetras arn't the best for cycling your tank, but it's a little too late for me, I've already put them in. would it be okay to leave them in there or should I transfer then to a smaller established tank that i have?

Can you use media from your available established tank to jump start your new one?

I was thinking about that too, but would that harm the established tank since I removed the good bacteria?

Do you have anything in there to spare? I usually have two filters running so can take one, or squeeze juices onto the new filter.. and take some gravel etc without letting untreated tap water touch it...
Anything will help if it can be introduced onto your new filter media.
