HI! & discus

Hi, im new to this place so plz be nice. My first question is... can discus be put in the same tank with the peaceful side of the cichlid family? I know discus are recommended for a species only tank but can they go with cichlids? ty!

Cichlid is a large family of fishes stretching across several continents. Discus can be kept with angels rams and several others, but may just be dependent on the fish themselves and a correct sized tank.

Touching on what rbishop metioned, I'm sure you know already, but the neccessary water parameters are the bases for any other possible tank mate's ie they will have to be able to be kept in the same water condition's as discus, then food, aggression, lights, temp, water flow, etc.
