I posted this over on the salt side, but more people seem to be over here...

has anyone tried to make a large (100gal) cylinder tank?
the 4 grand price tag got my inner DIY hobbist thinking.

thanks!

I think they are talking about a round shaped aquarium, like those old gasoline pumps that are converted into aqariums. A cool look.

Doh! I guess it WAS a stupid question then. LOL. Was wondering why anyone would need a 100g Co2 tank.

for an aquarium yes..
I'm just trying to come up with something different this time. had several rectangle tanks growing up .. one hex ..
just looking for ideas really

They design perfectly round cylinder tanks for jellyfish. Square tanks are not good for jellyfish because they get stuck in the corners and on the sides.

Ahh, you want it viewable from both sides. I'd then go with the 'ol classic rectangular tank. Is this going to be completely exposed or in wall? I assume since your concidering an cylinder tank its not in wall. You may also want to look at putting the oveflows in the center of the tank if you want to be able to see the tank from all sides even the ends. If you happen to be around any location (you dont have your location filled in your profile) that glasscages.com delivers to they will custom make tanks and can do all sorts of overflow options. Take a look at these overflows: http://glasscages.com/?sAction=Overflows
