if I went to that wedding I would have taken all that would fish in the car the ngo back if there were more.....then I would try to find good homes for them
 
Im sorry! that sucks!!! It was great what you did, even if they called you the "peta woman" you were just looking out for the fish. Some people dont realize that fish are living things too, and they also dont think about anyone other than themselves. You are an amazing person for trying to help those fishies out! gooooo you!!!

I went to an opening of a restaurant we did a wine cellar for. The theme of the restaurant was "water"... There were tiny bowls of fish everywhere! Like hundreds n hundreds. It was the saddest thing.

I know how you feel! Makes you feel helpless and very angry ..

Don't beat yourself up over it. You woulda had a very hard time trying to get them all home, then trying to do all the waterchanges and the stress of finding them the "right" home would've been terrible. You did what you could and thats it. Just like the bumper sticker....Stuff Happens. ;) They propably weren't any worse off than most of the betta's who get purchased at stores. I'm not saying its right bc I have 3 betta's and the smallest tank they are in is 29G.
