well fosters say may...my marine biology teacher and other books ive read say no....but u never know. as for what marine depo says yes there is a membrane that they can expel if the die...but it rarely happens and they usually just die and dont release it. i can pick those guys up and prod them for 15mins outa water and all they do is squirt water at u.really? i would check on that one mate...you put doubt in my mind when you said that, so i had to check it out..but check these links...

yup very true man!well, we have conflicting reports about this species then....i know you say rarely happens, but, the point being is that it can happen and people do need to be aware of that if they are going to put one into their tank..I would like to have a cucumber in my reef, but the research i have done on them all give the warning and i would not want the "risk" of it happening if you understand where i am coming from mate...
Niko
most time yes but not always. a water change after is always safe as well. but the tiger ails gets so large a better sifter would be a goby or a fighting conch.so if i run activated carbon with the cuke the poison should leave?
np good luckok im not going with the package then, thanks all
