I'd like to introduce one of these guys to rid my tank of the little starfish that are reproducing. Are there any conflicts with what I have in my tank that would spell trouble with these guys? Is there anything I need to know about this shrimp (bad attitude, eats corals when starving, etc.)? Will they eat other foods besides the stars?

Hippo tang
Yello tang
2 peppermints
1 big cleaner shrimp
Lawnmower Blennie
2 mandarins
2 clarkiis
sps, lps softies,sponges,anemones,hydroids
Large brittle star
snails,hermits

Thanks,
Tom

they will only eat sea stars. they will die after wards when the little stars are gone. they can survive in a tank with 1000's of the little stars but not with just a few. if ur willing to feed them chocolate chip stars u can get em...plus they make lots of waste with the star parts they leave behind. the little stars like i said on the other post almost never pose any threat...there is like a 8% chance they might nibble on a coral...and even then they wont kill it. they feed mainly off algae.

Pretty much exactly the info I was looking for. It's off my list.

Thank you Germanman and thank you Cat!
