after having my protin skimmer for about 7 months now, and its always produced sum gunk, even if its the smallest bit ever.

since i cleaned it out 3 weeks ago, its not producing no more gunk.
is this a good thing of a bad thing?
i hope its not broken, cos iv spent so much on the tank in the last 2 weeks.

thanks clare

to add to germanmans questions, is it a venturi or air powered? If its air powered consider changing the airstone in case its clogged

i just looked at the skimmer and it has started to produce some bubbles,
and it as got a little nosier, but it hasent produced any gunk.

im not to sure what type of protin skimmer i have, but i do no the make, its prizm. here is a pic. so you can see what type it is (please share info on type as its good to know) also dose it need any special reqierments?
