Growing plants on driftwood

Thanks for the compliments guys. I have some Anubis nana mounted in a piece of driftwood. If you click on the pic to enlarge it, you can see it better. It's under the Amazon sword on the right side.

Yes the grass like plant on the left is sag. I think it's dwarf sag, but when I thinned it out the other day, I had some plants that were over a foot tall.

I didn't know they got that tall. :huh:

Well you learn something new everyday. :)

i like anubias nana also as forground plants.

Gives it a nice thick lush look.

I should be getting abunch in, and try to get them to stick to small stones, and plant them around my tank like that.

skeletonhand, that is a nice stump. Is the val growing out of it? or just behind it? Do you have soil inside it?

The vals are growing out of it. There is a big hole in the bottom of the stump, so I cut the top off a pop bottle and stuck it in there. Still gives a nice little cave inside for the pleco. Filled it up with course gravel and stuck the plants in. Makes them a lot easier to propagate also.

Cool. Do you think the plants would attach to a hole drilled in stone?

How do you anchor moss to driftwood? I'd love to do flame moss, but I'm so easily intimidated by the idea of it... ^_^;;
