How much WPG do I have?

You wouldn't have to get PC / Compact Fluorescents to have actinics. You could get T5 HO or VHOs that are actinics just as easily. The number you get depends on how much blue you want, and possibly more importantly, how much room you have left in your canopy after adding the extra MHs.

thats correct. i personally like PC for actinic but the T-5s work just as well. just under a grand is a bit much...i spent only $450 on my halide, fans, and PCs...but i would recommend at least 2 tubes on one either side of the halides...spanning the entire, or most the tank.
 
is there any place to specfically see pics of lighting setups? could u post yalls here?
also, do metal halides hav to have fans to cool them?
and, what are T-5s?
